PEOPLE'S CHOICE
A public tasting-and-voting experience is being explored as part of Legend Foundation BBQ 2027. The goal is simple: bring people into the competition, create a memorable shared experience, and raise more support for Legend Foundation's mission.
HOW IT COULD WORK
Attendees would have the opportunity to sample BBQ from participating teams and cast a vote for their favorite. The final format, tasting portions, voting method, team participation requirements, and award structure are still being finalized.
WHY IT MATTERS
If approved, People's Choice would give the public a direct way to participate in the event instead of simply watching from the sidelines. It would also create another fundraising opportunity for Legend Foundation and another way to showcase the teams who make the event possible.
FOR TEAMS
Legend Foundation is working to make the competition organized, cook-team friendly, and worthwhile for both experienced teams and first-time competitors. Final People's Choice requirements, if any, will be shared before paid registration opens.
